Iran is going to send a reply to the US president’s letter, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

In comments at a televised program on the occasion of Nowruz on March 20, Araqchi said Iran will send a reply to US President Donald Trump’s letter within the coming days after the necessary considerations.

He said the reply will be given by appropriate means.

The foreign minister noted that Trump’s letter contains rather “threatening” aspects, though the US president claims that it includes opportunities as well. “We will consider both dimensions of threat and opportunity,” he stated.

“We will definitely refuse to negotiate directly (with the US) under pressures, threats and mounting sanctions,” Araqchi emphasized.

The minister also promised that the Iranian foreign policy makers will spare no effort to serve the nation.
