Dr. Jamal Hussain currently serves as the Head of the Department of Economics at Karakoram International University Gilgit, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. in Population, Resources, and Environmental Economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China. Dr. Hussain has a prolific publication record in the areas of energy economics, resource economics, and environmental economics, with numerous articles published in prestigious, high-ranked peer-reviewed journals. His body of work includes over 40 papers indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and the Science Citation Index (SCI). Dr. Hussain is also affiliated with the Center for International Strategic Studies (CISS)-KIU Research Center, Karakoram International University, Gilgit, Pakistan.
